Dad served on the U.S.S. Winston resupplying PBRs ’66-’67, also saw duty up the Hue River in same time period. Later served on the U.S.S. Union ’67-’68 in ‘nam as well. He hardly ever talked about the ‘nam, not until I went into the service myself, then he only spoke briefly of it. Would just come out in spurts out of the blue. I missed serving in the war by only a couple of years. Guess there was a few father-son serving in ‘nam. Dad made it back but, the ‘nam finally got him, A.O. in ’93.
