Tower of Song by Leonard Cohen – Noel Diotte
Words and music by Leonard Cohen. I’m just weighing-in with all players at YouTube. My son gave me a copy of the album, The Essential Leonard Cohen. His song has a drum machine and simple keyboard tracks and he has a very low voice. His singing is actually spoken poetry. All the YouTubers try to emulate that low voice and deal with the monotony.
I wanted some “roll”, melody to the song. The best cover I found was, UNDERWHEEL, a young guy from Brazil using a slide guitar treatment.
