How can I fix my hair problem?
I have very hard water, i forgot what my natural hair color is…joking… its like a light to med. brown, but i been coloring my hair myself without any prior malib treatments and now my hair is crappy. I haven’t colored my hair myself in over a year. I have went to get it done, but i can’t afford to go have it done. I have grey hair coming in and my hair is really dark with red tones in the end. What can I do to get my hair even toned..
In order to remove dark hair color, you have to use a lightener (bleach). Unfortunately, color does not lift color (make color lighter), unless the dark parts of your hair are natural.
Some hair color removers like Color Oops (found at Sally’s Beauty Supply) say they remove color, but I haven’t tried these yet, and after looking at reviews I’m not sure they can be guaranteed.
Honestly, you either want to go all over with bleach and a low volume developer and use a color you’ll like to put overtop. Or you can just put a color closest the dark tone that’s in your hair all over to cancel out the red and have a more blended color.
