I used to have the same issue. all you have to do is twist or braid the hair up and pick it out after it is fully dry.

Wow you actually comb your coils out. I tried that the day before yesterday. Big mistake. My hair got so tangled. Now I know. The coils do not like to be separated. Yeesh
