Physiologically speaking, what causes hair to turn gray?

I think I have about five gray hairs now. :-)

part of the ageing process is an increase of testosterone mainly associated with men but is found in women thats why sometimes you see old ladies with substantial facial hair and it also causes greying of the hair and in some genetical cases hair loss

Im not exactly sure about what turns your head-of-hair grey.

BUT, i know that stress causes a few grey hairs, even when you’re young.

there really is no such thing as grey hair….
the hair is actually colorless……..and the pigment has stopped filling the hair shaft with color…
The hair strands are actually COLOR-less…having no color what-so-ever…in them the color grey is just what it appears to be……

    not to worry….
grey ( or as i like to call it ) colorless less hair is strong…and at least its ON the head… instead of on the floor!
